Marilyn Dugan has always been attracted to the look and feel of natural items. She took her first pottery class late in life and fell under the spell of clay. An intrinsic part of Dugan is invested in every piece whether thrown on the wheel or handbuilt. Most of the work is functional and oxidation fired, more recent experiments with the serendipitous nature of Raku.
